Kentucky Boathouse

My Nephew Ivan called one night to ask for my opinion of a project that he and his 2 friends had designed for a boathouse in Kentucky. He and his collaborators were concerned that the contractor doing the work was not building the project as they had designed. It was a classic example of a lack of understanding between the builder and the design team. To his credit the local builder built some excellent dock platforms; however, he was unable to understand the design for the upper house itself. To solve this problem I suggested that I take 2 weeks of vacation time to supervise and build the project with their assistance, of course. The pictures show the result! With amazing team work and a dedicated client the project took shape and the vision was realized.
